The inaugural tournament in 2019 saw four teams compete over two days in a knockout competition consisting of two semi-finals, a third-place playoff and the grand final.

BAK, Hungary

Established in 1900, BAK were founder members of the Hungarian Football League, peaking when they finished third in the league and reached the Hungarian Cup final in 1912 and 1913 respectively. The club was dissolved in 1947, but reformed in 2018 when they rejoined the league. They were co-founders of the Egri Erbstein Tournament.

Corinthian-Casuals, England

Formed when the historic clubs Corinthian FC and Casuals FC merged in 1939, the south London side are the highest-ranked amateur club in English football. Their forebears helped to take football to the world, including Brazil, where they inspired the formation of SC Corinthians Paulista in 1910. Also co-founders, they won the 2019 tournament.

BEAC, Hungary

Representing the sports club of Eötvös Loránd University, BEAC were among the founding members of the Hungarian Football Federation. In the 1920s, they reached the top tier of the national league system, although they now play in the sixth tier, along with BAK, who defeated them in the third-place playoff of the 2019 Egri Erbstein Tournament.

Testvériség, Hungary

Formed in 1909, Testvériség have a proud history, having competed in the Hungarian top flight in the period immediately after the Second World War. As a fourth-tier team, they were the highest-ranked side in the inaugural Egri Erbstein Tournament, in which they finished as runners-up, losing the final to a last-minute Corinthian-Casuals goal.
