This year’s tournament welcomes the world’s oldest football club Sheffield FC and Somali British Champions League winners Hilltop FC, alongside tournament co-founders Budapesti Atlétikai Klub and Corinthian-Casuals FC.
Budapesti Atlétikai Klub
Budapest, Hungary
Co-founders of the tournament, BAK were Egri Erbstein’s first club and once competed with the best for national honours in Hungary. Dissolved in the early years of the Communist era, the club was reformed by enthusiasts in 2018 and now compete in the sixth tier of Hungarian football.
Corinthian-Casuals FC
Tolworth, England
Reigning champions of the Egri Erbstein Tournament and hosts for 2022, Corinthian-Casuals play in the Isthmian Premier League and are the highest-ranked amateur club in England. They continue the legacy of the Corinthians and Casuals who once took football to the world.
Sheffield FC
Sheffield, England
Founded in 1857, Sheffield FC are the world’s oldest football club and currently play in the Northern League Division One. They were awarded the FIFA Order of Merit in 2004 and proudly continue the legacy of the game’s pioneering players and lawmakers to this day.
Hilltop FC
London, ENGLAND
Recently promoted to the Combined Counties Football League Premier Division in Step 5 of the English non-league football pyramid, north-west London club Hilltop FC are the current holders of the Somali British Champions League.
